Mobile woman dies in house fire

Mobile-Fire Rescue received a call at 6:19 a.m. Saturday. When firefighters arrived at the single-story house they were told that three people were inside. 

Crews found a woman in her mid-60s dead in a bedroom of the home. A man was able to escape the fire through a bedroom window. Firefighters later discovered that the third person believed to be in the house was not at home at the time of the fire. Three dogs and a cat were also killed. 

Mobile-Fire Rescue is working to determine the cause of the fire and the name of the victim has not been released.
